100% filtering available: Filtering software or services based on black lists or artificial intelligence can not promise 100% filtering of objectionable pages. The number of pages on the Internet doubles every 81 days. There is no way that any black list can stay current. TGIF Plus has two additional weapons in its arsenal to protect families in light of this growing threat:
– If this powerful category is selected for blocking, then only pages that have been reviewed and known to meet your family’s requirements for safe viewing will be allowed through. If a new page is encountered that has not yet been reviewed, it will be blocked until it is categorized. (Viewing such a page and having it blocked, automatically flags it as a page requiring review.) – This method of filtering is the safest and most restrictive filtering available. It is the opposite of the typical “black list” method of filtering. If this method is selected only sites that the parents select as safe are allowed to be viewed. All other sites are blocked.Activity logs: A list of all websites accessed and time visited is maintained for parental review to monitor the activities of their children and provide an additional measure of accountability.
